This is a very special photo for many reasons. The primary reason is because it was one of the first photos I took when I started doing photography as a hobby over ten years ago. At the time, I was around 18 and had decided to go on a road trip to California. When I saw the Wild Horse monument I was so impressed by how beautiful it was. The original photo was a black and white image I took on an old film camera. The current image you’re seeing was taken in the summer of 2023 while driving to Mt. Rainier National Park and is a recreation of one of the most quintessential photos I’ve taken to date.
