Reykjavik, Iceland in the deep winter. I’ll be honest…while I was there in December of 2022 I was not expecting to get good weather, or see the sun for that matter. Yet, I was lucky enough to have gotten a handful of sunny days, or at least, as seen in this picture, clear days. It was an unforgettable trip in which I managed to gather an assortment of photos that complement each other. The artistic decision to crop this photo to a 1x1 aspect ratio (10x10 equivalent) on 17x22 sized paper came from experimenting with different sizes. This photo is not only unique through its square crop, but through the subtle, rich colors, that perfectly exemplify how I felt in Iceland. Blanketed by white, with just enough space (time) for some light to pop through.
